Inauguration of a new monument.  This mémorial tell the story of how approximately 7000 GI's of the 106th Infantry Division were captured in and around Schönberg, after being surrounded for several days and having suffered many casualties in the heavy fighting.  He is dedicated at all Prisoners of War.   (December 15, 2019)

 Inauguration of a new monument in French and English at the memory of "Les Sacrifies du Viaduc:

Le 18 décembre 1944 vers 11 heures 30, des membres d'une section de la compagnie "B" du 526ème bataillon d'infanterie blindée, commandée par le Capitaine Robert Jewett, ont ouvert le feu sur une colonne de tanks commandée par le Lieutenant Colonel Peiper avec un canon de 57mm installé entre le pont du Petit-Spay et les viaducs à l'entrée de Trois-Ponts.  Bien que le pont sur l'Amblève avait été détruit quelques minutes auparavant, c'est au prix de leurs vies qu'ils retardèrent l'ennemi en touchant le premier blindé sans toutefois le détruire.  Le calibre de 57mm permettait difficilement de percer le blindage frontal des tanks allemands de l'époque.  Pour cet acte héroique, le caporal Donald Hollenbeck, et les soldats Dallas Buchanan, Lillard McCollum et James Higgins, qui continuèrent bravement à tirer jusqu'à ce qu'un obus dévastateur ne les tue, resteront connus sous le nom: "Les Sacrifiés du Viaduc"

By 11:30 am on December 18, 1944, members of a section of Company "B" of the 526th Armored Infantry Battalion, led by Captain Robert Jewett, opened fire on a column of German tanks commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Peiper.  The 57mm they used was installed between the Petit Spay Bridge and the viaducs of the entrance of Trois-Ponts.  Although the bridge of the Ambléve had been destroyed a few minutes before, they delayed the enemy at the cost of their lives by knocking out the first tank, yet without destroying it.  The caliber of 57mm made it difficult to pierce the frontal armor of the Germans tanks at that time.  For this heroic act, Coporal Donald Hollenbeck, and soldiers Dallas Buchanan, Lillard McCollum and James Higgins, who bravely continued to fire until a devastyating shell killed them, will remain known as "Les sacrifiés du Viaduc". (January 19, 2020)
