Jacques's Wood was the site of unusually violent fighting.

In Jacques Wood, American soldiers stopped the German army (which was occupying Foy) on its way to Bastogne.

This memorial honors the courage and the heroism of the American soldiers during the winter 1944-1945 (May 29, 2015)

La Fosse (Manhay), Belgium

Monument dedicated at the memory of the crew of B-24 "King Size" N° 42-50612 crashed in the Meadows of the La Fosse, Belgium on December 25, 1944. Six crewmen's were KIA, one died of his wounds in Bitburg, Germany and two escape and returned home. (December 29, 2018)

Lanzerath, Belgium

Commemorative plaque in honor and remembrance of the paratroopers and glidermen of the 82ndAirborne "All American" Division for their selfless sacrifice and courage liberating Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge.

On January 31st, 1945 Lanzerath was liberated by the Division's 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. 

This plaque commemorates the 70th anniversary of the 82nd Airborne's final combat action in Belgium before breaching the West Wall and fighting in Germany. (January 31, 2015)  C47 Club

FIELD and his fellow soldiers of the 551st Parachute Infantry Battalion.  On this field, scene of fierce combat on January 7, 1945, part of the ashes of Richard "Dick" FIELD have been dispersed by his daughter Ginni and his grand-daughter Rachael. Rochelinval, Belgium 

 Plaque honoring the 551st Parachute Infantry Battalion "Lest We Forget

 January 7, 1945: the small village of Rochelinval was the military objective for the battalion.  The "A", "B" and "C" Companies suffered heavy losses, resulting the near-total annihilation of the original battalion that launched the counter-offensive in the Morning of January 3, 1945    (Janauary 7, 2017)  C47 Club
