Memorial inaugurated by the Belgian citizens at the commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. The monument is located at the military barracks Arlon, in Fouches, Belgium. The memorial is dedicated to all aircraft crews of the 8th and 9th US Army Air Forces, whom served to liberate Belgium, during World War II. Also at the site is a separate plaque dedicated to the memory of US Army pilot 1st Lieutenant John J. Chimenti and co-pilot 1st Lieutenant James D. Clark whom were killed aboard the B-17 "Cicero Kid" and crashed at the memorial site location on November 9, 1944. (December 12, 2009)
